More than 90 million rubles will be allocated for the restoration of the embankment in the Imeretinskaya lowland of Sochi

The sea embankment in the Imeretinskaya lowland was damaged by storms in early December 2021. The wind speed then reached 33 meters per second. Then the asphalt pavement was destroyed, the first floors of residential buildings, courtyards and building sites in the coastal strip were flooded.

«On the territory of the Imeretinskaya embankment, partially destroyed as a result of storms, a municipal emergency regime is in effect. As part of the emergency situation, the administration of the Krasnodar Territory allocated funds in the amount of 93 million rubles for the restoration of the dividing concrete wall and the construction of hydraulic structures,» the Sochi administration reported.

Urgent emergency recovery work will be carried out at state-owned engineering protection facilities. After the completion of these works, the promenade will be restored - funds for new paving stones and its laying will be allocated from the reserve fund of the Sochi city administration. All work is scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2022 summer holiday season.
