The program of the Spoon and Mug festival, which will be held on May 1 at the Gnezdovo Museum-Reserve in Smolensk, includes tasting dishes cooked on a fire or in an oven, for example, Varangian salmon soup, chicken in clay on charcoal, crayfish soup and pies, according to the portal Russia.travel.
Guests will take part in a master class on cooking ancient Russian honey gingerbread in a wood-fired oven, learn traditional recipes for mead, oat kvass and ale, visit a souvenir fair and a farmer's market, shoot from a bow in a shooting range.
In addition, there will be competitions, contests and quests, performances by historical reconstruction clubs and musicians.
