Malaysia moves to the transition phase toward viewing the Covid-19 as endemic and allow its people to return back to an almost normal life.

With this in view, the Malaysian prime minister announced  the reopening of their borders to international travellers from April 1, 2022.

When the borders open, fully vaccinated travelers will be allowed to enter quarantine-free and will only require a RT-PCR test two days before departure and a professional antigen test within 24 hours of arrival.

The health ministry is expected to detail procedures for unvaccinated travelers in due course.
