Malaysia participates in IBTM World 2021 to woo business groups post Covid

Malaysia once again participated in the annual IBTM World 2021, the leading and biggest global event for the meetings, incentives, conferences, events and business travel industry which took place at Barcelona, Spain during 29 November – 3 December 2021.

This year will marked the eleventh year of participation at the prominent tradeshow and the first time Malaysia is participating in an international tradeshow physically after the lockdown. 

Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia led the Malaysian delegation along with other participating partners namely Business Events Sarawak and Sabah Tourism Board.

Chief Operating Officer of MyCEB Mr Noor Ahmad Hamid who is also the head of Malaysian delegation said, “IBTM World allows MyCEB to continue promoting Malaysia’s top experiential locations for corporate meetings and incentive travels through the Meet in Malaysia Campaign and specifically the Let’s Meet Tomorrow programme to the European business events market. It helps strengthen and increase Malaysia’s visibility as a preferred business events destination while enabling us to connect with the key players in the business events industry, opportunity to be exposed with various innovative ideas and to gain insights of the current trends which will help propel Malaysia’s business events industry to the forefront.”

Malaysia team shared new products and developments available in the country that enhanced the country’s offerings to the business events industry as well as entice event planners and organisers to hold their meetings, corporate and incentives groups, conferences and exhibitions.
