On the eve of the New Year holidays on December 30 and 31, as well as from January 2 to January 8 of the new year, the Lakhta tourist retro train will run between St. Petersburg and Vyborg. Along the way, he will make several stops (Vaskelovo, Zelenogorsk, Roshchino, Kavgolovo, Toksovo, etc.)

"The ten-car ER2K 980 Lakhta train, released more than half a century ago, combines modern technologies and a recognizable historical appearance. The interior of the wagons is made in the style of the 70s and 80s, which allows passengers to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of that era," Russian Railways reports on its website.

The retro train will travel along the route St. Petersburg-Finlandsky – Vyborg – Vaskelovo – Vyborg – St. Petersburg-Finlandsky.

The trip is designed for tourists who are interested in visiting the sights and places for winter sports.

The train cabins have wooden mounts for sports equipment and themed accessories from Soviet times. The train is equipped with modern toilets and USB sockets.
