Karl Marx Street in Kislovodsk began to be called Cheburashkinskaya in honor of the well-known character. This is stated in the message on the website of the administration of the resort city.

“Cheburashkinskaya street appeared in Kislovodsk. The name came from vacationers who ask local residents how to get to Cheburashkinskaya Street, which was shown in the new Cheburashka. As you know, most of the scenes of the highest-grossing domestic cinema were filmed in Kislovodsk,” said the head of Kislovodsk, Evgeny Moiseev, whose words are quoted in the message.

He also noted that the city received gratitude from the management of Mosfilm for their invaluable support in the creation of the film.

The premiere of the Russian family comedy "Cheburashka" took place on December 23, 2022, and on January 1, the tape was released in wide distribution in Russia. The picture became the highest-grossing film in the Russian box office in its entire history.
