This happened for the first time in several years. Usually the plant blooms in mid-February-March. Thanks to warm weather, the exotic shrub is covered in bright red flowers for the second time this year.

- During a survey of the botanical collection of the Southern Cultures park, a senior dendrologist discovered a Japanese quince shrub, partially covered with flowers. At a completely uncharacteristic time of the year. The past years were quite warm, a lot of plant species bloomed again, but there was no flowering of chaenomeles - Japanese quince, - the press service of the Caucasian State Natural Biosphere Reserve said.

In the Southern Cultures Park, you can now also admire the fragrant osmanthus flowers, or fragrant olives, as well as the mountain camellia, which has blossomed white, pink, purple buds that will adorn its shrubs until the end of winter. These plants bloomed on time.
