The International Under-Ice Orienteering Games will take place on February 24-26 in the capital of Primorye. This competition will be held for the ninth time. This was announced by the Tourist Information Center of Primorsky Krai.
“There are no analogues of these competitions in the world. There is ice diving, but ice orienteering games are held only in Primorye. Participants from South Korea, the Maldives and Cyprus come here. This year, representatives of Brazil have confirmed their participation. For the third time, the champion of the Guinness Book of Records for the deepest dive (332 meters) Ahmed Gabr from Egypt will fly in.
Competitions are also visited by participants from Moscow, Tver, Sakhalin, Yekaterinburg and other Russian cities. This year, Vladivostok is planned to be declared the capital of diving, and the very definition of "diving" will be given the name "sport", and not just leisure, the information center reported.
The organizers will hold an entertainment program at the international games with elements of team building, hot tea will be served.
