The press service of SIBUR company announced that a new interactive eco-trail has opened in a forest park about two kilometers from "Kazanorgsintez". The trail is now part of the "Volzhskaya tropa" (Volga Path), which runs along the riverbank in Tatarstan.
The eco-trail is also part of the "SIBUR Ecopaths" project, which has already introduced hiking trails on natural territories in Tumen and Amur Regions. The ecology-oriented educational project aims to debunk myths about industrial companies and foster ecological awareness.
The new Kazan route is located in the urban forest park Lebyazh'e and is open for public visits. Residents and guests of the city can reach the starting point walking on the forest path from Lake Glubokoe.
Approximately 800 flora and fauna species have been registered on the eco-trail, with over 70 listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan. The route features long-living trees, as well as biochemical indicator plants that only exist in favorable natural conditions.
The message states that "based on the researchers' conclusions, the Directorate of Natural Areas at the Institute for City Development of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with 'Kazanorgsintez,' developed a concept for three ecological-educational pedestrian routes with a total length of 11 km."
The Fox Trot, a 2.5 km trail, is designed for educational tourism for children. Young travelers will be able to search for animal tracks, learn to recognize birds by their calls, and observe forest life. There are seven thematic stops along the route with interactive exhibits and information stands.
