New excursions have been prepared within the framework of the "My District" program and the "Walking in Moscow" project. From August 10 to December 31, professional guides will conduct 140 free excursions in non-central areas of the capital. The goal of the project is the development of inter—district tourism in the city. This was reported by the portal of the mayor and the government of Moscow.

"In everyday life, many Muscovites do not go beyond the usual routes around the city and are not very familiar even with neighboring territories. Meanwhile, every year new parks and public spaces are created in non-central areas of Moscow, places with which the history of the city is inextricably linked are put in order, restored and landscaped. Many of these objects are becoming new points of attraction not only for local residents, but also for tourists," the report says.

Thanks to the project, Muscovites will be able to get to know their city better and discover new interesting places for leisure and recreation outside the tourist center of the capital.

The first cycle of such events took place last autumn - the guides conducted 40 excursions to 20 metropolitan areas, including Yasenevo, Mitino, Sviblovo and Zyuzino. They were visited by more than two thousand people.
