«When deciding on the location of aviation facilities, as well as when developing flight procedures, it is necessary to take into account the urban infrastructure with its educational, cultural, residential, as well as nature reserve objects and complexes. The air movement of helicopters should be orderly and not cause any inconvenience to the residents and guests of the resort. This experience of launching passenger air transportation by small aircraft is widely used not only in world practice. There are examples on the territory of the Russian Federation, for example, in St. Petersburg,» stressed the head of Sochi, Alexei Kopaigorodsky.
Two helicopters have already been purchased: the Eurocopter AS-350 and Augusta 109SP, all the necessary permits for flights have been received from the administrations of the municipalities of Krasnodar, Gelendzhik, Anapa, Novorossiysk and many other cities of the Krasnodar Territory, the South and North Caucasian Federal Districts.
«Currently, the resort has a demand for commercial air transportation services from the residents and guests of the city. This conclusion was made on the basis of the data obtained from the results of the analysis, taking into account the climate and geographical features of the area. First of all, this is due to a significant reduction in travel time, for example, the flight from Sochi to the center of Krasnodar is 50 minutes,» the press service of the Sochi administration reports.
It should be noted that regular air transportation of passengers in Sochi existed back in the 80s of the last century. They were especially popular among the residents of Krasnaya Polyana.
