The Imeretinsky Kurort railway station has been officially renamed Sirius.
The order was signed by the Government of the Russian Federation based on a proposal from Russian Railways and in accordance with the law "On the Names of Geographical Objects." Dmitry Plishkin, head of the federal territory, announced this on social media.
Starting December 20, additional Lastochka trains were added on the Sirius-Rosa Khutor route. Currently, nine pairs of electric trains travel to the mountains, and 30 pairs operate between Sirius and Sochi. A further increase in the number of trains is planned for March.
The bill received proposals from regions, the Presidential Administration, the Security Council, federal agencies, public organizations, and nearly 1,500 citizen appeals.
The forum, which brought together experts from a wide range of industries, hosted approximately 50 business events across three thematic areas: economics and investment, architecture and integrated territorial development, and tourism and hospitality.
