Filming of the feature film in the genre of adventure thriller "Sky Trail" has started on Elbrus at an altitude of over 4400 meters above sea level. Today, these are the highest mountain shoots in the history of Russian cinema, the Kavkaz.RF company, which manages the Elbrus resort, reported on its website.

"Where else to shoot an exciting film, if not on the legendary Elbrus - a mountain of records with a harsh character, where only the brave and courageous temper their character. Here, on the highest peak in Europe, the history of Russian mountaineering and alpinism was born," - the words of the Deputy General Director of Kavkaz.RF Rustam Tapaev are quoted in the message.

The film is set in the highlands, where a group of novice climbers went. During another crossing, they are covered by a suddenly descended avalanche, and the heroes find themselves trapped in a snow captivity at high altitude. All means of communication are lost, and a small group has a harsh and risky path to salvation. "During this campaign, the true character of the heroes will be revealed and the secrets of the past that bind them all will be revealed. Viewers will find breathtaking shots of the ascent, as well as scenes of a harsh and risky descent down the slope in the wild taiga, the filming of which is planned in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug," the company said.

According to the film director Sergei Pikalev, the creators of the picture have been carefully preparing this project for several years. Stuntmen and climbers, including them, were involved in the work on it.

"We will make every effort to ensure that the story of the internal transformations of our heroes against the backdrop of magnificent landscapes truly shocks the audience," - quotes the director "Kavkaz.RF".

Pikalev is a nominee for the Cannes Film Festival, his track record includes popular serials "Rebel" and "In the Cage". The main roles in the adventure thriller will be played by Dmitry Chebotarev ("Coach", "Bet on Love", "Bride from Moscow", "Major Grom: Plague Doctor", "Vampires of the Middle Lane", "Fitness", "Container", "Karamora"), Ivan Mulin ("Execution", "Dyatlov Pass", "Elena", "Coal", "Molodezhka. Ice and Fire"), Alena Mitroshina ("Headshot", "Sixteen +", "Pool"), Oleg Chugunov, Alina Bologneva.

In addition to the KBR and KhMAO, the filming of the film "Sky Trail" will take place in Moscow. The picture will be released on the big screens in 2025.
