The press service of the Kronotsky Reserve reported that from June 1 to June 30, the number of helicopter excursions in the Uzon-Geyserny district of the reserve will be limited to one at a time. This measure is carried out as part of the "month of silence" - an annual environmental event. Its goal is to reduce the load on unique natural complexes and not disturb animals and birds during the breeding season.

"The decision to issue permits for excursionists to visit the Uzon-Geyserny district of the Kronotsky Reserve will be made on the day of the tour until 10.30 am, taking into account the operational situation in the area of the excursion trail and the state of the natural complex," the report says.

In this case, in particular, the local distribution and concentration of bears in the central part of the Valley of Geysers, the Uzon volcano caldera and excursion zones will be taken into account.
