The Government of the Russian Federation continues to actively support the development of domestic tourism by expanding the preferential lending program for the construction of tourism infrastructure. This measure is being implemented within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality" and aims to increase the number of comfortable and safe accommodation facilities for vacationers.

More than 50 Russian regions have announced their readiness to increase the number of hotel rooms and other accommodation facilities. To stimulate this process, the government has decided to expand the preferential loan program, which has already proven its effectiveness and is in high demand among businesses.

Following the results of last year, the number of tourist trips within the country increased by 10%, which was largely made possible by the increase in the number of available hotels. Currently, over 220 investment projects are being implemented using preferential loans, with a total volume of private investment exceeding 1 trillion rubles.

The government's decision will allow for a one-third increase in the number of rooms – up to 78,000 – as well as the construction of 17 water parks, 11 ski resorts, and 2 year-round amusement parks.

"This will create additional opportunities for our citizens to travel more often within Russia, get acquainted with the country, and see the beauty and diversity of the regions," emphasized Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a government meeting.

It is expected that the expansion of the preferential lending program will provide a significant impetus to the development of the tourism industry, contributing to the creation of new jobs and improving the quality of tourist services throughout the country.
