The first Thermal Congress in the country will be held in Tyumen on February 18–19. According to Maria Trofimova, Director of the Consumer Market and Tourism Department of the Tyumen Region, Tyumen was chosen as the venue for the forum dedicated to the development of wellness tourism for a reason. The region is one of the leaders of thermal tourism in Russia.

"Interest in wellness tourism is growing rapidly. We are glad to bring together experts, business representatives and authorities on one platform to discuss the prospects for development and synergy of thermal and sanatorium areas," Trofimova noted.

The first thermal season in the Tyumen region was opened in 2020. The region has the largest number of outdoor thermal pools in the country, attracting more than 1.5 million guests annually, and comprehensive recreation and health improvement programs have been developed.

The congress will bring together more than 150 participants - representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, industry associations, leading resorts of the Stavropol and Altai Territories, Adygea, Buryatia, KhMAO-Yugra, Sverdlovsk Region and Tatarstan. The forum will present successful regional experience, panel discussions and interactive sessions.
