Ecotourists will now be able to use the new catalog of ecotrails, pedestrian tourist routes and routes in national parks, reserves and other special protected natural territories of Russia.
The new catalog of routes and trails, available on the Ru-Trail website, was created by the ASI project with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund and the Ministry of Natural Resources, the organization’s website says.
Experts studied more than 400 tourist routes and ecotrails in more than 200 protected areas, of which 10 were selected. These routes are now available on RuTrail.org.
“Each route includes a description, GPS coordinates, a nakarte.me track and a route map in PDF, as well as main attractions, trails’s length, information about how to get from point to point and what equipment is needed,” the ASI reported.
