Visitors will enjoy master classes in making ice figures and an exhibition of unique natural objects.
The festival in the Muzeon Park of Arts in Moscow will last until January 28. At the end of December, ice and snow sculptures up to seven meters high appeared in the park.
Along the central alley, tourists are waiting for icy scenes from the lives of great people: Alexander Nevsky, Peter I, Mikhail Kutuzov, Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Lomonosov, Leo Tolstoy, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Yuri Gagarin. A little further there is an exhibition of unique natural and man-made objects. Visitors will see the geysers of Kamchatka, Lake Baikal, the palace and park ensemble in Peterhof, St. Basil's Cathedral and much more. The majestic hero will be waiting for those who want to go through the ice labyrinth.
The main object of the festival is the castle of miracles with five different levels of ice slides for children and adults. In addition, guests will be presented with art objects with handicrafts and heroes of Russian fairy tales, as well as a symbol of the upcoming 2023 - a water rabbit.
"Free workshops will be organized at the free creativity site. With the help of special equipment and ice blocks, visitors will create their own forms and plots from ice," the Moscow Mayor's press service said in a statement.
