European travelers are showing a willingness to choose new destinations, even when there are no issues with overcrowding. Furthermore, their decisions are beginning to be influenced by general uncertainty.
According to the latest survey by the European Travel Commission, the overall intention to travel has decreased by 3% compared to last year, reaching 72% of all citizens. The largest decrease is observed among Germans.
Greece ranks fourth in popularity among all destinations, and among those planning a sea and sun vacation, it is second only to Spain.
At the same time, there is a slight decrease in interest in Southern Europe due to the heat and overcrowding experienced in the Mediterranean in July and August.
