The European Union has urged Europeans to avoid unnecessary travel between the countries of the community due to the spread of new strains of coronavirus, calling the situation "very serious".
"We are increasingly concerned about the different strains of coronavirus," said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Brussels called on EU countries to speed up vaccination against coronavirus infection in order to protect 70% of the adult population of the united Europe by the end of August, and 80% of health workers and people over 80 by March.
