Ethnofestival to Take Place in the Arkaim Museum-Reserve in the Chelyabinsk Region

The press service of the Arkaim Museum-Reserve reported that this year the folklore and ethnographic festival of Eurasian peoples will be held from June 7 to 9. Guests will enjoy a fair of masters, performances of musical ethnic groups, and master classes.

"The theme of this year's festival is the spiritual culture of the peoples of the Southern Urals. The purpose of the festival is to popularize, preserve and transmit the traditional culture of the peoples of the multinational region of the Southern Urals," - the message says.

The organizers will prepare 11 interactive sites. So, visitors will find several laboratories: culinary, choreographic,ceramic, as well as storytelling and folk theater laboratories. Guests will be able to take part in молодецких забавах,listen to the playing of ethnic musical instruments and visit the folklore workshop.

There will also be a discussion platform at the festival. As part of the event, several competitions will be held: in stagecraft, decorative and applied arts and shows of designer clothing collections. Winners will be selected in 14 nominations and in three age categories.
