The event led by People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Bashmet will be held at the resort from 16 to 27 February.

The Yury Bashmet Winter International Festival takes place in Sochi every year and combines different types of arts in its program: academic, jazz, folk music, theater, opera and ballet. Famous Russian and foreign performers and authors take part in it. The upcoming festival will be an anniversary one. Its theme is "world premieres and the best of 15 years".

“Emir Kusturica has already visited Sochi. He participated in the festival 10 years ago and also got into the best programs,” Yuri Bashmet told reporters.

This time Kusturica will perform at the Winter Theater with his folk-rock band The No Smoking Orchestra on February 23rd.
