The environmental organization was formed 98 years ago. In honor of the holiday, visiting all recreational facilities: the Laura eco-center, Yew-boxwood grove and the Southern Cultures park will be free. During the day, fascinating and informative excursions, exhibitions, lectures, quests and master classes will be held for guests of all ages.
An exhibition of archival historical photographs is timed to coincide with the birthday of the Caucasian Reserve, which will open at the Krasnaya Polyana Resort in the Vremena Goda park. This project was implemented jointly with a mountain resort and is dedicated to the main person in the history of the Caucasian Reserve, the founder and first director, Christopher Georgievich Shaposhnikov. More than 20 photographs with comments tell not only about the fate of the scientist and naturalist, but also about the difficult period of formation of the natural area.
At 11:00 and 15:00, specialists from the reserve will conduct tours of the "Small Ring" in the Yew-boxwood grove. For guests of the Laura Ecocenter, excursions around the Aviary Complex will be organized at 10:00 and 15:00. And at 17:00 in the lecture hall of the visitor center there will be a lecture by Professor Anatoly Kudaktin about the wolves of the Western Caucasus. The festive evening will end with a bard song concert by the fire.
On this day, according to tradition, the alley at the Laura cordon will be replenished with new seedlings, which will be planted by the reserve staff and volunteers. The laying of an orchard and a community work day in the Achipse river valley will begin at 11 o'clock.
