Most of the year-round resorts being established under the federal project "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" are currently in their initial stages, focusing on resolving land and property issues and developing supporting and tourism infrastructure.
This was announced by Dmitry Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, at a meeting in the Federation Council.
According to Vakhrukov, 11 out of 12 projects already have detailed "roadmaps" approved by governors. The roadmap for Balaklava, which joined the project later, is also in its final stages.
The Deputy Minister highlighted the successful experience of St. Petersburg and Dagestan. "In Dagestan, all infrastructure facilities have been designed, secured with funding, and received positive approvals. Construction and installation work on supporting infrastructure will begin this year. The design of tourism facilities is also underway."
He also noted good progress in the Baikal regions, where resorts are being created based on existing special economic zones. "There, you can already visit and see how specific tourism infrastructure facilities and hotels are being built. Only formal issues regarding the planning of the 'Magic Baikal' resort in the Republic of Buryatia remain to be resolved."
By the end of summer, the final territorial planning projects for the resorts "White Dune" in the Kaliningrad Region, "Gates of Baikal" in the Irkutsk Region, "Golden Sands" in Crimea, and "Primorye" in the Primorsky Krai are planned for approval, Dmitry Vakhrukov stated.
