Kolyma parliamentarians adopted the law "On tourism and tourist activities in the Magadan region." Its authors are the deputy of the Magadan Regional Duma, the head of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society Alexander Nesterovich and Senator Anatoly Shirokov, according to the website of the regional parliament.
“As Alexander Nesterovich explained earlier, the development of the document was necessary: in the Magadan region there was no legal and regulatory framework for creating a favorable environment for commercial tourism organizations,” the Magadan Regional Duma said in a statement.
The adopted law contains a conceptual apparatus, defines the main forms of state support for the subjects of the tourism industry.
Priority for the region in the document are such types of tourism as ethnographic, event, ecological, business, extreme, sports, historical and educational, fishing, hunting, water, underwater, medical and recreational, industrial, arctic, skiing, social, rural, children and self-employed.
Among the main tasks for the development of the industry in the region is the creation of a modern and competitive tourism industry, as well as conditions for the preservation, renewal and efficient use of regional tourism resources, ensuring the quality of service for travelers, and protecting the environment.
In addition, the task is to create conditions for the development of investment projects and a system for training and educating subjects of the tourism industry.
“Passing the law is only the first step. Now we are ready to listen to entrepreneurs, authorities, environmental structures, public organizations, to actively interact in order to develop tourism in the Magadan region,” said Alexander Nesterovich, whose words are quoted in the message.
