The Caucasus.RF press service announced that the annual "Clean Mountain" family eco-festival will take place on August 25 at the year-round Elbrus resort. Guests can expect an educational program, workshops, and a fair. The main event will be a large-scale cleanup that will cover the area from the Azaou glade to the glaciers.
Volunteers can obtain the necessary equipment at the central square of the resort. Then, they will ascend to the mountains accompanied by experienced instructors and guides to follow routes that thousands of tourists and climbers take each summer.
Cleanup participants will work in groups of several people. Registered activists will be able to reach the Garabashi station on the day of the festival and descend back down on the resort's cable cars free of charge.
As part of the festival, there will also be workshops for children, a fair, and performances by artists. Guests can enjoy an outdoor lunch and join the educational program.
Participation in the festival is free. Those interested simply need to register on the Elbrus resort website and arrive at the Azaou Glade by 9:00 AM on August 25. Registration is now open.
