The II Solar Cheese Festival will take place on the main pedestrian boulevard in Kislovodsk on July 13-14, bringing together the best producers of cheese and other products from southern Russia.
The city-resort administration announced this on its website."During these days, a craft village will appear on the Kurortny Boulevard, featuring a Cheese Maker's House, a Wool House, a Ceramics and Pottery Workshop, a Runic Workshop, and a Blacksmith's Forge.
Visitors to the festival can learn about the history of cheese production in the resort town and participate in big cheese races. The program will conclude with an evening musical show in the style of ancient Slavs," the message reads.The head of Kislovodsk, Evgeny Moiseev, explained the unusual name of the festival.
