The route will run from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea and will unite fans of trekking, mountaineering, mountain biking, archeology, cultural and ecological tourism.
"Kavkaz.RF" presented the project of an interregional tourist route "Caucasian trail". As per the company's report, the presentation took place at a meeting of the working group for the development of tourism of the Coordinating Council under the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus Federal District.
“The total length of the trail is 3,300 km. It will pass through the territory of all the republics of the North Caucasus and the Krasnodar Territory, including 13 specially protected natural areas. Now we are working on a master plan for the development of the territories of the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District within the boundaries of the route, it will be ready in March next year," said Khasan Timizhev, executive director of Kavkaz.RF.
He noted that the company already has an understanding of the corporate identity of the "Kavkazskaya Path" and offers for marking and navigation.
The "Caucasian Path" is considered as a promising project for the North Caucasus, which will combine the natural and cultural-historical objects of the district.
“The route will run from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea and will connect Sochi and Derbent. It will bring together lovers of trekking, mountaineering, mountain biking, archeology, cultural and ecological tourism,” Kavkaz.RF said.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
