According to the Travel Money report on ski resort prices in Europe, the Bulgarian resorts of Borovets and Bansko are among the most affordable for the 2024-2025 winter season.
The report considered the costs of a one-week vacation for an adult skier, including a 6-day ski pass, ski rental, ski school, as well as various drinks and food on the slopes. To give winter sports enthusiasts a clearer idea of how much a week-long vacation might cost, popular European ski locations were compared.
The top three spots featured resorts with a weekly cost of less than 700 euros per person. These were the Italian resort of Bardonecchia with expenses of 658.18 euros, Bulgaria's Borovets with a weekly cost of 681.56 euros, and another Bulgarian resort, Bansko, with a budget of 693.43 euros.
These three resorts are well ahead of the other locations on the list. For example, a week in Italy's Livigno would require at least 771.9 euros. The Spanish resort of Baqueira-Beret would cost a solo skier 893.11 euros, and in Norway's Norefjell, the weekly cost would be at least 894.89 euros. Rounding out the list of Europe's ten most affordable ski resorts is Italy's Breuil-Cervinia, with an expenditure of 894.95 euros.
The most expensive ski resorts in Europe for the 2024/25 season are France's Val d'Isère and Switzerland's Zermatt, with average weekly costs of 1,627.83 euros.
