Bulgarian tour operators are inviting clients to visit Moscow and St. Petersburg this summer.

The sightseeing tours offer tourists from Bulgaria the opportunity to enjoy the glow of the White Nights on the shores of the Gulf of Finland. The first day's program includes a bus tour of St. Petersburg, featuring views of Nevsky Prospekt, Palace and St. Isaac's Squares, the Smolny and St. Nicholas Cathedrals, panoramas of Vasilievsky Island, the famous bridges across the Griboyedov and Kryukov canals, a visit to Kazan Cathedral, and the night-time raising of the bridges.

Over the next four days, Bulgarian tourists will have the opportunity to visit Tsarskoye Selo, see the Catherine Palace with its restored Amber Room, explore the Faberge Museum exhibition at the Shuvalov Palace, walk through the luxurious halls of the Yusupov Palace, stroll through Peterhof, and, of course, admire the masterpieces of world art in the Hermitage halls. The cost of the 5-day tour, with departure from Sofia via Istanbul, is 3149 leva (1610 euros).

Another group tour option from Sofia to Russia, titled "The Greatness of Russia," covers Moscow and St. Petersburg. In the Russian capital, guests from Bulgaria will have the opportunity to visit the Kremlin with its majestic cathedrals, explore the Armoury Chamber and the Tretyakov Gallery, and stroll through Tsaritsyno Park.

After traveling by high-speed Sapsan train from Moscow to the northern capital, tourists will be shown the main attractions of St. Petersburg and its surroundings over four days. The cost of the 8-day tour is 3650 leva (1866 euros).

According to tour operators, there is heightened interest in these trips.
