In the run-up to World Tourism Day, an unusual bivouac was erected in the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A wooden dwelling was built on the cliff of Mount Klekovaca, located in the Dinaric Alps. From here, at a height of 1800 meters above sea level, breathtaking views open up.
Klekovaca is one of the most beautiful mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It attracts tourism enthusiasts from many countries. Numerous hiking trails have been laid out here on an area of 43 square kilometers. They lead both to the highest peak - Velika Klekovaca, located 1969 meters above sea level, and to Mala Klekovaca at a height of 1761 meters. These two peaks are connected by a circular trail.
A group of enthusiasts from Republika Srpska, Herzegovina, and Germany participated in the creation of the tourist bivouac in Klekovaca. They are all fans of extreme tourism and mountaineering. And some of the mountain builders turned out to be fans of tightrope walking. A special rope was stretched between the rocks for him.
Without the skills acquired from these hobbies, it would hardly have been possible to build such complex structures, which also involved delivering material to a great height and removing the resulting waste.
The bivouac on Klekovaca operates in open mode. This mountain hut is built specifically for all tourists and nature lovers who are able to climb to such a height.
