Russian bloggers will enhance the development of domestic tourism. On July 5, in six regions of the country, a series of blog tours “Traveling in Russia” began. The initiative is aimed at popularizing domestic tourism, natural and historical sites, and places of cultural heritage through blogger communities.
Blog tours will run almost all of July: from July 5 to July 9, bloggers will visit St. Petersburg and Bashkiria, on July 12-16, travelers will go to the Khabarovsk Territory and Kirov Region, on July 19-23 - to the Tula and Pskov Regions. The first blog tour started in St. Petersburg from the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress, where the grand opening of the project took place.
Boris Paikin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs, noted that this is a timely and excellent initiative. “It seems to me especially valuable that bloggers are young people and their audience is mainly youth. For them, our country will open from a different angle, the videos will be filled with sincere emotions, and, therefore respond in the hearts of the children. All this should contribute to the development of domestic tourism,” he said.
