Better to stay at Baikal than in Turkey - Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergey Ivanov

Russia intends to develop domestic tourism through the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in Russia.

There are already investors interested in the implementation of eco-projects and the development of domestic eco-tourism, ASI Director General Svetlana Chupsheva said during a press conference.

The special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for environmental protection, ecology and transport, Sergei Ivanov, also stressed that it is necessary to educate Russians about the wealth of nature in Russia.

“Many Russians, who, unfortunately, today know much better how to relax in Turkey, and not in Kamchatka or at Baikal or in other places, will finally recognize their own country with its unique beauty. Those who know about this have been celebrating it for a long time, including foreigners,” he said.

All eco projects in the frame of All-Russian competition on the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in Russia were awarded by experts in the field of tourism, the finalists of the competition will have the opportunity to participate in an express accelerator to promote their projects to attract investment.
