Belorus intends to develop ecotourism in cooperation with Russia

The Belarusian authorities intend to implement an international technical assistance project "Development of ecological tourism to promote a green transition to inclusive and sustainable growth", says BELTA quoting Nikolai Svidinsky, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Waste Management, Biological and Landscape Diversity of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

"This year, an international technical assistance project will be implemented which is aimed at the development of ecological tourism to promote a green transition to inclusive and sustainable growth. The tasks of popularizing not only nature, flora and fauna of the country, but also elements of folk culture and traditions will be addressed," Nikolay Svidinsky was quoted as saying.

The project will reportedly be implemented in cooperation with the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, the Ozyory and Krasny Bor nature reserves and in cooperation with Russia.
