In the beach area of the Belgian resort town Middelkerke, located in the сentral part of the North sea coast, in this season for the first time opened a bathing area for domestic dogs.

"Last summer, we noticed that there were few bathers on the city's Crystal Palace beach, and on the adjacent "wild" beach, on the contrary, there was a concentration of holidaymakers. The reason is that dog owners are forbidden to bring animals to the officially designated beach recreation area, " local media quoted the explanation of the Middelkerke mayor’s assistant for tourism.

According to him, the opening of the beach with the indicator "Entrance with dogs is welcome" is a pilot project on the coast and a kind of tourist attraction.

Recreation on the"dog"beach is allowed provided that the owners of four-legged friends of a man undertake to clean up their Pets' excrement. Otherwise, you will have to pay a fine of 350 euros.

The control of the behavior of dogs assigned to rescuers who have received special training.
