Balloon festival opened in the Yaroslavl region

The ballooning festival "Golden Ring of Russia" takes place in Pereslavl-Zalessky from 19 to 23 July. Guests will enjoy hot air balloon flights over the ancient Russian city and Lake Pleshcheevo, tethered lifts, an entertainment program and communication with hot-air balloon pilots. This was announced on its website by the Department of Tourism of the Yaroslavl region.

“It is expected that two dozen teams from Pereslavl-Zalessky, Moscow region, Veliky Novgorod, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Belgorod and other regions of Russia will take part in the festival,” the message says.

Weather permitting, flights will take place daily in the morning and evening.

The cost of a full-fledged flight for an adult is from 10 thousand rubles (depending on the number of people in the basket), for a child from 7 to 14 years old - 8 thousand rubles.

Lifting in a balloon on a leash will cost 1 thousand rubles for an adult, 800 rubles for a child. In this case, the ball is tied to the ground with ropes and rises for a couple of minutes to a small height (depending on weather conditions). According to the organizers, this is a kind of demo flight for those who want to first get acquainted with the physics of the process. Suitable for children from 5 years old.

Cultural and entertainment programs for participants and spectators are also scheduled for July 21 and 22.

The authorities of the Yaroslavl region call the Aeronautics Festival one of the brightest events in the region, loved by tourists.
