A statue of a knight in metal armor, which appeared on the bottom of Lake Baikal near Listvyanka village at the beginning of this year, has been removed. According to the media, it was installed by one of the diving centers. When information about the underwater knight appeared on social networks, users began to worry about whether the statue would harm the ecology. As a result, the West Baikal Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office conducted an inspection regarding the placement of the "Knight of Baikal" art object on the bottom of the lake.

"After the intervention of the supervisory authority, the specified object was removed from the lake, which was confirmed during the inspection of the bottom by divers," the Baikal Interregional Environmental Prosecutor's Office reported on its website.
