Azerbaijan Welcomed Over 2.5 Million Foreign Tourists Last Year

According to data from the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan, 2.6 million foreigners visited the republic last year. This is 26% more than in 2023. Statistics have been published on the website of the State Tourism Agency.

The tourist flow has not yet reached the pre-pandemic level - in 2019, 3.167 million tourists visited Azerbaijan.

The peak tourist season last year traditionally fell on the summer months and the beginning of September. The largest number of tourists arrived in the republic in July.

The overwhelming majority of travelers came from Russia - 731 thousand people. This figure accounts for 27.8% of the total number of foreigners who arrived in Azerbaijan in 2024. Turkey is in second place. More than 426 thousand tourists arrived from there. 243.5 thousand people came from India.

In addition, a significant number of tourists came from Iran, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, the UAE, Uzbekistan, China, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, and Israel.
