The conference on rural and agrotourism will be held in Kaspiysk (Dagestan) on July 3-4.

In particular, they will tell how to involve the population in the development of agro-tourism and integrate agricultural facilities into tourist routes. This was reported by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

“The event is aimed at representatives of the North Caucasian Federal District. Agriculture, agro-industry and tourism in this district have received another impetus for intensive development: it is planned to direct up to 30 billion rubles of investments to them in the coming years. Agreements for such an amount were signed within the framework of SPIEF-2023,” the ATOR Bulletin (https://www.atorus.ru/node/52991) said in a statement.

On the first day of the event, participants will have a sightseeing tour of the “Fruit Island” - a garden located on a land plot cut off from the surrounding lands on the territory of the Chirkey reservoir. In addition, guests will visit the reservoir itself, the observation deck of the Sulak Canyon, the Nokhyo caves and the trout farm on the territory of the Glavryba ecotourism complex.

On July 4, experts will back up the practical part with a theoretical base. On this day, we will talk, in particular, about state support for agritourism - grants that can be received in 2023 and 2024. Legislative innovations in the field of agritourism will also be discussed. Guests will also learn about glampings for rural tourism and an online platform for the promotion and development of agritourism.

“The conference will be completed by the report of the executive director of ATOR, co-chairman of the Expert Council for the definition of national tourist routes under the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Maya Lomidze. She will talk about the trends and opportunities for agritourism in the North Caucasus Federal District,” the message says.
