The issue of the poor maintenance of animals in it was raised back in the summer of 2022, when information about emaciated camels got into social networks. This time, scientists from the Sochi Geographical Society decided to take 25 animals away after a message from one of the park workers, who was concerned about the fate of the animals, who were not used to the frosts that came in the mountains of Sochi. In total, almost 500 individuals were kept in terrible conditions.

Only small individuals were taken out of the safari park. Large ones, such as bears and camels, remain in the park for the time being. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is already investigating. Meanwhile, concerned residents of Sochi began to bring food and hay to the Sochi Geographical Society for animals rescued from the safari park in the village of Akhshtyr. In two days, almost 10,000 rubles were collected, which will be used for food and animal care products.
