Wooden soil protection flooring is replaced with a decking board. This is reported on the park's website.

“For the manufacture of the base of the flooring, a full-bodied timber is used. Crushed recycled polymer materials are used as raw materials in the production of terrace boards and timber.

On the rise, the width of the flooring will reach 2.9 meters due to the ramps. It is planned to complete the work by mid-2023.

The route will not be completely closed to visitors, but partial overlaps are possible during the dismantling of the old flooring.

The height of Efa is the highest (62 meters) point of the Orekhovaya dune, which is located near the village of Morskoye (one of the highest dunes in Europe).

The height of Efa is named after the dune inspector Franz Efa, whose work was devoted to the study and fixation of shifting sands. From the observation platforms, you can see all the variety of landscapes of the Curonian Spit: the sea, the bay, forested areas, village houses.

The eco-trail to the height of Efa is one of the most popular among tourists; it runs along the southwestern slope of the dune.

The route is equipped with three observation platforms overlooking the Baltic Sea, the Curonian Lagoon, the forest and the village of Morskoe.

As noted in the national park, the trail, laid from the sea to the bay, gives an idea of the relief of the peninsula, the main types of landscape, introduces the history of the ecological sand disaster that erupted on the Curonian Spit in the 18th-19th centuries.
