- The summer season has ended at the Rosa Khutor mountain resort. In the period from November 7 to 30, the Olympia, Zapovedny Les, Kavkazsky Express, Wolf Rock and Edelweiss cable cars, as well as the rodelbahn attraction, will go for regular maintenance before the start of the winter season. During this period, guests will be able to ride the Strela, the longest cable car in Europe, whose length exceeds 3.8 kilometers, the Rosa Khutor resort reported.
The lift will take those who wish to a height of 1600 meters above sea level, where the main off-season event site, Strela Mountain Park, will operate. Here you can take colorful photos against the backdrop of impressive mountain landscapes and a “mast of desires” with multi-colored flags, walk through the mythical stone labyrinths, hit the “weather control gong”, wishing a snowy winter to come soon. The park will also house an exhibition of mining equipment. Guests of the resort will see, for example, a snowcat that prepares tracks and makes the famous "velveteen", mobile and stationary snow cannons that provide enough snow at sub-zero temperatures, and other special equipment.
To participate in the competition, after a walk in the Mountain Park, you need to go to the Rosa Khutor souvenir shop (Mzymta Square, next to the Information Center), leave a walking ticket with your contact details in the lottery machine, after exchanging it for a gift card with a view of the resort (detailed conditions competition are published on the website www.rosakhutor.com). The draw will be summed up on November 14, 21 and December 1 in the official Rosa Khutor telegram channel https://t.me/rosakhutoralerts. From December 1, the resort's cable cars with an ascent to Rosa Peak and the rodelbahn attraction will resume their work again. The opening of the winter season at Rosa Khutor is scheduled for December 23.
