All-season complex for health, sports and event tourism will be created in Zavidovo

The project is being implemented as the next stage in the development of the Zavidovo resort in the Tver region, which has already become a popular holiday destination for Muscovites.

The first loan funds to finance the development of the complex were provided by VEB.RF, having signed agreements worth about 29 billion rubles with Zavidovo Park LLC at the end of December last year, Rostourism reported on its website.

“Hotels with 1,130 rooms will be added to the existing accommodation facilities, as well as an indoor family center for sports and water entertainment, a children's park, and a ski slope. The complex plans to provide its guests with a wide range of opportunities for leisure activities, which, together with the forest area of the Zavidovo National Park and vast expanses of water, will make it a unique tourist site for the central part of Russia,” the department noted.

The project provides for the construction of 3 * -4 * hotels, which will expand the opportunities for recreation for people with average incomes.

With the support of the Tver Region, a number of facilities are being built on the territory of Zavidovo, including a transport interchange hub, river port infrastructure, and supporting infrastructure facilities.

“Today, 200-250 thousand tourists come to the Zavidovo resort in the Tver region, which has been successfully developing since 2008. Our task is to bring this flow to 1 million guests, ”Rostourism quotes the words of Sergey Bachin, general director of Vasta Discovery (manages the Zavidovo resort).

He is sure that in 3-4 years the resort will be completely completed.
