Aeroflot has announced on its website that it will resume regular flights from Moscow to the Seychelles on October 2.Ticket sales are now open.

"Until October 26, 2024, the airline will fly to the Seychelles twice a week: on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In the winter seasonal schedule, from October 28, 2024 to March 29, 2025, Aeroflot will increase the frequency of flights to the Seychelles to three times a week and add a new frequency on Mondays," the statement says.

Flights from Sheremetyevo Airport to Mahe will be operated on wide-body Airbus A350 airliners in a three-class layout:Economy, Comfort and Business.

As the company noted, a large number of tourists visit the Seychelles from October to May.

Meanwhile, the Russian Union of Tour Operators (RSTO) reported on its website that the resumption of direct Aeroflot flights from Moscow to the Seychelles, according to tour operators' forecasts, will again activate the tourist flow in this direction, as it already was last winter.

"Last year, the ticket price was close to 90-100 thousand rubles in economy class, but, given that the dollar has become cheaper, the prices may be lower. But there are even more requests for business class, where the price reaches 500 thousand rubles. Russians are already booking peak dates - the November holidays and the New Year," the RSTO quotes the general director of the Art-tour company Dmitry Arutiunov.

The expert noted that as a rule, experienced travelers trust not advertising, but "word of mouth", recommendations from friends or relatives. And the Seychelles, he believes, is the very place where tourists return and become its fans.

"The Seychelles is about 115 islands and, unlike the Maldives, they are all different, with very beautiful nature: there are chic beaches with coconut palms, there are places where one and a half million birds fly to nest," Arutiunov said.

According to him, there has always been a problem with accommodation on the Seychelles, but now it has become easier to find good options, as new hotels are opening on the islands.

In turn, the head of the sales department of Sodis, Irina Manuilovskaya, believes that in the fall, the Seychelles may well pull over some of the Dubai tourists, the RSTO reports.

As for the cost of tickets, according to the expert, one should count on an amount in the region of 100 thousand rubles for a seat in economy class. Ground handling will cost two tourists from a million rubles for 5-7 days depending on the hotel when placed in a standard double room, the RSTO writes.
