About 200 beaches to open in Sochi this season

The head of the city of Sochi, Aleksey Kopaigorodsky, noted that the main goal is to ensure a comfortable and safe stay of citizens and guests by the sea.

"This season, it is planned to open about 200 beaches. A lot of work is being carried out at each of them," said the head of the city of Sochi, Alexey Kopaigorodsky.

This season, 33 Sochi beaches have won the Blue Flag international environmental award, which indicates the purity of the water and safety of recreation. Among the laureates - the beach "Primorsky-1", "Velvet Seasons", the beach "Seagull", the beach of the resort "Rosa Khutor", the beach of the Pullman hotel named after Maurice Thorez, the Radisson beach of the Radisson Collection Paradise Resort & Spa, the beach "Primorsky", the Riviera beach, Vzmorye beach, Zapolyarye beach, Mayak beach and others.

According to the mayor of the resort, people should feel comfort on the way to the shore. To do this, it is necessary to get rid of visual noise on the beaches, put in order the park furniture, dismantle the overhanging wires on the lighting poles, equip entrance lobbies and additional paths on the pebble strip. Outdoor advertising should be brought to a uniform style. It is also necessary to stop unauthorized trade near the beach recreation areas.
