The working group of the corporation "Tourism.RF" presented the concept of the tourist territory "Belokurikha Gornaya" to the Governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko. Based on the results of coordination with the region of the concept, Tourism.RF will prepare a master plan, the development of which will be completed in June 2023, the corporation reports on its website.
“According to the corporation's experts, the total investment in the development of the Belokurikha Gornaya tourist area will amount to 21.2 billion rubles. As a result of the development of the tourist area, a unique year-round balneological resort will appear in Belokurikha," Tourism.RF noted.
On a land plot of 53.4 hectares, it is planned to build six facilities with more than a thousand hotel rooms, modern health and entertainment infrastructure. According to preliminary estimates of Tourism.RF experts, thanks to the emergence of a new resort in the region, the tourist flow will increase by 200,000 people a year.
“To implement this resort area, a road map has been developed, one of the stages of which is to bring a radon pipeline to the resort. This decision is currently being worked out jointly with the Ministry of Construction of Russia,” the corporation said.
Tourism.RF and the Altai Territory are cooperating within the framework of an agreement concluded a year ago on long-term cooperation in the development of tourism, tourism infrastructure and the hospitality industry in the region.
