The Norilsk Nickel company will create a new world-class tourist cluster - Port Liinakhamari - in the Murmansk region, Russia, as reported by the TASS agency citing the vice-president of the company Andrey Grachev, who spoke today at the international forum "Days of the Arctic and Antarctic in Moscow».
According to him, the cost of the project is 12.5 billion rubles.
The aim of the project is the development of natural and ecological tourism in the region. The necessary world-class infrastructure will be created on the territory of the TC to open the region for cruise ships, yachts, including the development of diving, sea fishing, etc.
The project, supported by Governor Andrey Chibis, has the status of the resident of the Arctic zone.
The International Arctic Forum "Days of the Arctic in Moscow" will be held from November 25 to November 27, 2020. The forum has been held annually since 2010.
