A new permanent Arctic to appear in the Russian Ethnographic Museum

The Russian Ethnographic Museum (REM) in St. Petersburg is creating a new permanent exhibition dedicated to the culture of the peoples of the Arctic, Siberia and the Far East.

At the moment, the museum has an exhibition "The Arctic is an inhabited land", which presents more than 500 exhibits. The Arctic collection of the repository has more than 50.000 pieces of exhibits and more than 10.000 photo documents.

In addition to the experts of the museum itself, specialists from various scientific centers and direct cultural carriers from the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East participate in the creation of the exposition, REM directorate reports.
