From August 1 to 6, Gastrofest at Rosa Khutor will bring together more than 20 restaurants located not only in the mountains, but also on the coast of Sochi. During the festival week, chefs from well-known establishments will present special sets of local products. During this period, each partner restaurant will have a unique four-course menu at a fixed price, which will introduce the author's interpretation of the cuisine of the region.
“Gastronomy is not just food, but culture, heritage, traditions and national identity. In the summer, thousands of Russians from all over the country come to Sochi, and our festival will provide them with an excellent opportunity to get to know the Black Sea Mountain region, its gastronomic identity. We will focus on local products and local specialties, and the chefs will have a difficult task to create something special from them, while maintaining the authenticity and recognizability of tastes. The list of festival participants allows us to hope that in the end we will get a real feast of haute cuisine. According to the World Tourism Organization, more than 50 percent of travelers choose destinations that are most interesting in terms of gastronomy. I believe that thanks to Gastrofest, this figure will continue to grow and our guests will return to Sochi again and again - including for tasty and healthy food! ”, said the gastronomic ambassador of the Rosa Khutor resort, famous chef Mark Statsenko.
