The state expertise of Dagestan projects issued a positive conclusion after reviewing the documentation for the construction of a park in the Avain microdistrict in Derbent. This microdistrict is located along the borders of the former quarry for the extraction of building materials "Oktyabrsky".

“According to the project documentation, which was reviewed by the state expertise of the Republic of Dagestan, it is planned to build a modern landscape park with various landscaping elements, sports, cultural and leisure infrastructure on the site of the former stone quarry,” the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia reported on its website. The park is thought out taking into account the technogenic relief formed during the development of the quarry - elevation changes in places reach 20 meters. It is planned to equip multi-level recreation areas for sports and entertainment.
